Update 8/29:  My surgery went well on Thursday but my two incisions are very itchy.  The vet said we'll get the biopsy results in about a week.  My foster family fell in love with me, as  I knew they would, and decided to adopt me.  I'm a very happy girl.

Update 8/23:  My leg is feeling better each day and I can now start to go on 20-30 minutes walks.  I love to walk and explore and am told I'm very good on leash.  Because my leg is healing so well, I also get to eat in the kitchen with my brothers, sleep in the bedroom, and hang out on the enclosed deck.  I'm very curious but don't bother things in the house too much.  I like to play with a squishy ball and some stuffed squeaky toys.  I'm a sweet, soft-hearted rottie girl.  I go back to the vet on Wed afternoon.  I'll let you know how it goes.  Love, Kiah

Update 8/1:  I went back to the vet and he removed the staples in my leg.  It didn't hurt a bit.  The vet said my leg is healing nicely so I don't have to wear a towel or cone anymore and get to increase my walks to 10 minutes at a time which is fun because I get explore more of my neighborhood.  I'm also getting more freedom in the house.  I like my rottie brother but I'm still not too sure about my feline brother.  He will take some getting used to.   The vet was a bit concerned about some lumps in my mammary glands so I'll get those checked again later in August.  All for now.  Love, Kiah

Update 7/20:  While out of BSRR's care, I fell and tore my ACL.  I ended up having surgery last Friday by a specialist so I was in capable hands.  I was told I was a very good girl at the vet before and after surgery. I am now in a new foster home where I'll do my rehab.  I was a good traveler during the transport. I've met a male rottie and a cat at my new place.  So far, the only time I've barked is when my foster dad came home after dark and I was surprised.  My foster mom said, "good girl".  Everything is new so I'm taking it one day at a time.  This week, I need to be confined in a smaller area and wear a cone or towel except for eating and when doing my therapy exercises.  My foster mom says that I'm a good patient and don't complain about my situation.  Love, Kiah

Initial post:  Kiah (fka Cickias) was pulled from our local shelter.  She was an owner surrender because she attacked their blind pit bull, (she was in heat at the time).  She had been taken in by these people from a breeding situation and  looks like she has had 2 to 3 litters.  The first thing we did was brush her and we could have made 4 dogs from all the hair.  She still has hair to shed and will look better as she gets a better diet and daily brushing.
She is very sweet and wants nothing more than to be a part of whatever you do and cuddle close. She was great at the vets and just lay on the floor with all the other dogs walking by and barking and whining.  She wanted to meet the kids that came in as well.
She was a favorite at the vets.
