Nova is NOT in the system with Big Sky  Rottweiler Rescue.  She was surrendered into the care of volunteer for another rescue group.  Nova has NOT been evaluated by Big Sky and this information comes from a volunteer who is helping the foster.

Nova is located in Gillette, WY.  She was surrendered by her family after they moved onto a friends ranch.  After being depressed from the move, one day she went after a calf.  The owners decided to surrender her.

Absolutely LOVES kids!  Gets along great with dogs.  Very interested in cats, focused on them but have not witnessed an interaction to see what she will do.  Had a run in with livestock, but trainers have said this is something that could possibly be worked through.  Previous owner states that she didn’t do well when they moved from town to their ranch.  Seemed sad.

Nova really favors women.  She does not shy away from men, just prefers to be close to the woman of the house.  She loves to snuggle and wants to be touched at all times.

We think she has spent majority of her time outside or in her kennel.

She is learning manners, she will get into things and jump up on people.  She is not fully potty trained, but working on that.  She has a bit of food aggression.  They are taking precautions and working through this with her.  She has come a long way already, in 3 days.

Nova is very smart and wants to please.  In the short time she has been with her foster family she has been very receptive and eager to be a part of the family.

We believe her ideal home would be with a female owner in the mix and possibly the only dog.  She is not aggressive, but a lot of dog to get control of when she wants to play!  If someone had the time to really show her what they expect (one on one) she will be an amazing companion, and fairly fast.  She has such a gentle way about her, and would make a great addition to ANY family!

I am ok with text messages, phone calls or emails.  If someone is interested I can certainly set up a meeting or forward the foster’s information.
