Just this side of Heaven is a place called RainbowBridge

When an animal dies - one that has been especially close to someone here - that pet goes to RainbowBridge. There are meadows and hills for our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food and water, sunshine and cozy beds, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing: they each miss someone very special, someone who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; his eager body quivers. Suddenly, he breaks from the group, flying over the green grass - his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain on your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet - so long gone but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross the
RainbowBridge together.

Sniper
Taken from a shelter in to rescue in his senior years. He was fostered in a loving home until his adoption. He finally was able to know love, until his time came to cross the Bridge. Until we meet again....

Sweetie
Sweetie passed away after overcoming cancer but sadly due to age she was overcome with bloat. Sweetie was a scared young Rottie on death row in horrific conditions at a small town shelter in Idaho when BSRR saved her. She was adopted 8 years ago by her best friend Julie. Together they shared a love and devotion to one another that can only be experienced between a Rottweiler and their owner. God speed Sweetie, you have many Rescue Rotties who have gone before you waiting to play and wait together for their owners to join them.

Sydney
She was always referred to as "Karla's Syd". She was 6 when she died and had lived in almost as many different homes as her age. She was a quirky dog and quite a comedian. She loved her tennis balls and would lay for hours just chewing on one as if it were a wad of bubble gum. She loved to play ball and would chase balls until too exhausted to move and then lay down on top of her pile of balls trying to hide them so I wouldn't throw them again, VERY protective of her tennis balls. She lived her life in fear, always afraid, and together we faced her fears as our love grew and our bond strenghtened. She is greatly missed and will never ever be forgotten by her human. She crossed over on May 24, 2006
