Just this side of Heaven is a place called RainbowBridge

When an animal dies - one that has been especially close to someone here - that pet goes to RainbowBridge. There are meadows and hills for our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food and water, sunshine and cozy beds, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing: they each miss someone very special, someone who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; his eager body quivers. Suddenly, he breaks from the group, flying over the green grass - his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain on your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet - so long gone but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross the
RainbowBridge together.

Haley
Haley came to us from a shelter where she was dumped. She found an awesome foster Mom in Kelly and lived happily for a long time. Haley was helped to the Bridge so that now she no longer has to deal with HD, or torn ACL's and pain. She is running, jumping, and playing with all the other dogs, waiting for her her turn to cross the Bridge. God speed Haley - until we meet again...

Hanna
Hanna stole our hearts as soon as we picked her up from BSRR. She spoiled us rotten with her gentle, easy going, sweet demeanor. She loved her Wubba and running circles throughout the house (especially after bath time!) On sunny warm days, she enjoyed sunbathing in the grass. She loved her girls and grew to love Dad and Grandpa after learning not all men were abusive. She followed us girls everywhere we went, she had to be a part of the action! Although, if the action involved hiking the mountain behind our house she’d much rather pass! She definitely preferred the neighborhood strolls. She was very protective of us, even scaring off some intruders! She loved her family and we had a very special connection with her. She lived a wonderful life full of adventures. We are so grateful for the 8 years we were given with her. We love you Hanna Banana!

Hans
Hans came to us just after the 4th of July 2009. At the start I wasn’t completely sure about Hans, nor did he seem sure of us. We brought him home with us, and for the first couple of weeks he was pretty aloof. Gradually, he warmed to us as he realized he was staying, and slowly he worked his way deeply into our hearts. He was always a kind, gentle, quiet presence. He and I became very good friends, to the point that he would sulk when I was out of town. He has left a very large hole in our hearts and an emptiness in our home. He has left an indelible mark on me and I will always remember him. Dean Wilkinson

Harley
Harley a happy go lucky boy that found his forever home with Mike. God speed Harley boy - so sweet and loving. You will be missed by all.

Helen (Blind Helen)
Years ago BSRR was asked to intake a blind female Rottweiler. Since we are a group of volunteers and foster all dogs in our homes, we were sadly not well equipped to help Helen. We asked Rolling Dog Ranch for their help to intake Helen. They were apprehensive to intake a Rottweiler as they had never had one before. Happily for Helen, they agreed to take her in. Well, Helen, or as everyone has come to know her, Blind Helen found her forever home with Rolling Dog Ranch. She was a wonderful ambassador for Rottweilers, and enlightened new people all the time to this wonderful breed. Sadly Blind Helen was diagnosed with cancer 2 years ago and one of her rear legs was amputated to prolong her life. She had another great 2 years until finally she had had enough. She passed on to the Rainbow Bridge a few days ago. Blind Helen will be sadly missed by all that knew her - especially everyone at Rolling Dog Ranch. We (BSRR) is grateful to RDR for giving Blind Helen a wonderful home filled with love for over 8 years. God speed Blind Helen - until we all meet again.
